Album Info:The first part of my largest album on this site, it features all (that i was able to recover after multiple computer crashes) of my railroad photography in my home state for the first five years since I've had a digital camera. It has many mainline UP trains, Amtrak passenger trains, shortlines, and many remnants of the great Southern Pacific. This album continues into the next part "Oregon Railroading: Part 2 (2010-2014)". A Few Different Faces
Title:  A Few Different Faces
Description:  Some cascade green and one ugly "black dip." The 4368 ran around in this scheme for many years after the POTB attemted to repaint her out of bloody nose and into black widdow (wouldve been the potbs six axle version of WPRR/PNWR 1801), but aborted the paintjob in the middle of the process. Was eventually repainted into yellow and orange "big cheese" scheme mere months before the line was destroyed.

A Sight from the Past
Title:  A Sight from the Past
Description:  One of many semaphore signals installed on the original California to Oregon mainline, the SP Siskiyou Line, in 1907 before the opening of the Cascade Line in 1926 dried up traffic but one of the very few that lasted until 2007. This had been the Northern-most pair on the line for at least a decade, located less than 5 miles from Springfield Junction (the Cascade Line junction).
